The Baroque refers not to an essence
but rather to an operative function,
to a trait.

It endlessly produces folds.

The Baroque fold unfurls
all the way to infinity.

The Baroque invents
the infinite fold or process.

The problem is not how to finish a fold
but how to continue it,
to have it go through a ceiling,
how to bring it to infinity.
